Anthony Hart 13" Wisteria on tree trunk base. Brass tag Hart 488. Acquired from Sotheby's in 1996.

Above: Lot 1352, A Hart Stained Glass Wisteria Table Lamp on Handel bronze base, circa 1900, the shade a tall domed form, composed of dark and light mottled blue wisteria blossoms cascading from an open work branch and leaf upper section, (Minor losses), the base modelled as a tree trunk, shade applied with a metal plaque ,arked Hart/488, the base incised HANDEL. Diameter 12 3/4" Height 24".

Ed. There was a second Wisteria following this lot, "A Hart Wisteria Table Lamp on Handel metal Base, circa 1900, similar to preceeding lot, (minor damage and loss to shade) , shade marked with numerals only, base marked HANDEL. Diameter 12 3/4" Height 20 1/2".
