Poppy Leaded Lamp (Attr. Suess)

Table lamp has leaded glass shade with mottled and striated orange poppies set against a green geometric background. The shade is further decorated with a band of poppy buds surrounding the top with vining stems descending from the band. The shade rests on an original Suess base with stylized floral foot, ribbed stem, 3-socket cluster and original floral design heat cap. The base is finished in a green patina. SIZE: Shade: 24-3/4" diameter. Lamp: 25" tall.

CONDITION: Shade is very good to excellent with only a few tight hairlines. Base is very good to excellent with some wear and discoloration to patina. Rewired with appropriate cloth cord.

Ed. This pattern is not the same as Suess examples and has appeared with a Neuhauser factory 4-hole
aperture plate and Neuhauser bronze art nouveau base.
