Amboy Works, Lily Leaded Lamp

19th/20th century, organically shaped dome shade, with panes of red, green, and white glass, raised on foliate form patinated bronzed metal base, two socket, 17 in. diameter; overall height 21-1/8 in. Provenance: Private Collection, Charlottesville, Virginia Condition working at time of inspection, shade sits slightly off kilter, Approximately 60 panes with cracks/hairlines spread throughout shade, one pane at top fitter with 1/4 in. loss, one pane on side with multiple cracks and loss, surface grime, multiple cracks around top fitter and wear to lead cames at top fitter caused by rubbing from finial, wear to patina on high level areas of relief, green patination to base in certain areas, loss to felt on base

Ed. Gorham attribution changed to Amboy Works. Base and Acanthus cap appears on other Amboy models. Possibly a Chapman design, some of Chapman's aperture rings are tall sided like this one.
