Very Rare and Important Bronze Cobweb Lamp on a Mosaic Wheat Sheaves Base, 1900-1905.
This rare cobweb lamp, one of two examples in this size, is the diminutive form of the larger cobweb lamp. The larger model's integral base is set with mosaic tiles depicting narcissus blossoms and leafage. The present example's shade is cast with a well defined network of branches which form the undulating lower border which rests directly on three scrolling arms.

The larger example is supported on a base cast with eight bronze uprights which end up in an undulating support cast and pierced with leaded glass apple blossoms and leafage.

The present model was included in the Tiffany Studios price list as No 51, Mosaic Wheat Base, cobweb and apple blosson shade, $200.
