Cottone Auctions - Dr. Martin May Collection

September of 2024 saw the auction of rare lighting and other antiques from the estate of the late Dr. Martin May. We were able to visit the preview and take a few photos, some of which are presented here. Kudos to Matt Cottone for undertaking the massive task of bringing this large collection safely from Florida to Geneseo in Upstate New York.

Dr. May had broad taste in collecting. Some of the finest examples were evident in the auction including pottery, Tiffany glass, windows and furiture.

Included here on the left is a photo, courtesy Cottone Auctions, showing the living room of Dr. May's home in Florida. This illustrates the true nature of the collection in its original location prior to auction.
